Day 15 of my 17-day straight Olympic audio interview series features a four-time Olympian in cycling who won three medals…Curt Harnett.
In this interview, our discussion includes Curt’s early ambitions to be a hockey player, how that transitioned to cycling, his progression in the sport, his Olympic experiences in 1984 in Los Angeles (silver in the 1000m time trials), 1988 in Seoul, 1992 in Barcelona (bronze in sprint) and 1996 in Atlanta (bronze in sprint), how he’s been to each Summer Olympics since including leading Canada in the chef de mission role at the 2016 Games in Rio.

NOTE: While we wait for local sports to return following the COVID-19 pandemic, a big part of JG Sports Media’s website content will be audio interviews, like this one. Guests will include representatives from local sports organizations as well as other notable guests, many who have ties to this area and even some who don’t.
I love the Olympics and this series will run from July 24 until Aug. 9. This is the time the Games would have been on before they got postponed until 2021.
