Today is the first day of my Olympic audio interview series for JG Sports Media.
I couldn’t think of a better way to begin the series than with Cobourg native Jeremiah Brown, a silver medal winner in men’s 8 rowing at the 2012 Olympics in London, England.
In this interview, we chat about Jeremiah growing up in Cobourg before his journey to become a 4-year-Olympian (also the name of his book), the athleticism and mental fortitude it took to make the men’s 8 rowing team, the team’s terrible start at the Olympics and their battle back to capture the silver medal, processing the achievement in the year’s following and his work now as a professional speaker.

NOTE: While we wait for local sports to return following the COVID-19 pandemic, a big part of JG Sports Media’s website content will be audio interviews, like this one. Guests will include representatives from local sports organizations as well as other notable guests, many who have ties to this area and even some who don’t.
This Olympic series will run from July 24 until Aug. 9.
